Here we are again...and today had the joy of opening a box of goodies from LUNN. This is a diffusion line from Lilith...very pretty, and not as expensive as Lilith. This will be online by the weekend.
Everyday, I bring a salad to work, and have it with a small roll, and later an orange. Today I ate the salad, and thought I would save the other items to eat later, when I was hungry. Or so I thought....when I went back into the kitchen to get them, they were gone. Clive thought that I had left them unwanted, so he polished them off for me. That was on top of a whole carton of Covent Garden soup.
How come slim people can get away with being greedy? Recently a customer bought us a packet of choccie biscuits, and in our absence, Louise (slim as a reed) ate them all!!
Where is the justice in that!!
We've been on the trot for a few weeks now, what with the foreign travels and trips to London, and so today we have had a proper day off from work! Bliss....started off with a lie in...and then headed off to our fave walk destination, along Southwold promenade, with Aldo.
This is always finished by having a super cup of hot chocolate!
Just around the corner from where we live is a place called World of Fish...and it is a fishmonger, with every type of fish piled up high. From simple herrings and mackeral to red groupers, razors, octopus, sword, and everything else in between. We absolutely love fish and eat it most nights for supper...so are very fortunate...and today I enjoyed cockles and smoked salmon for my lunch and have got a nice fat bit of tuna lined up for my tea!! The joys of living near a large fishing port I guess.
Then this afternoon, I took myself off to TK Maxx for a bit of retail therapy. They stock lots of Molton Brown products, so I got some of them...and also there was some fabby cotton bedding...so I got some of that too, for our French house.
Finally home, for a nice cup of tea...and a catch up with Louise at the shop...she has had a very busy day...
I guess it is back to work tomorrow...and we are still waiting for huge deliveries....so today has been a real treat! Sunshine and no snow too!
Hope you've had a good day too!
This is more of a warning for other shopkeepers who may read my blog....as I can now name the person, who has pleaded guilty to nine charges at Suffolk Crown Court of shoplifting and other associated charges. Ms IMOGEN PARKER (of Bures St Mary, Suffolk) was the lady who sold my stock on EBAY, under the ebay name of Unthank Arms.
She will receive her sentence in March....
Luckily for me, when she last visited my shop a year ago, I realised what she was up to and called the Police, but was aghast at the level of deception, and misuse of our trust.
This lady has cost us a painful amount of money, and the likelihood is, we will never see any of it again, the only consolation is that she wont 'shop' with us again.
And 'no'...we cannot claim off the insurance for shop lifting.
