We have 4 colours for Black label for Autumn, black (no surprises!), dark blue (confusingly, this is called Plum, but trust me, it is dark blue) Forest green and chianti. We have dresses, tubes skirts, all shapes of trousers, jackets, coats, and once more we have written the biggest order ever!! This is going to blow you away....Delivery end of July!
We've found that navy blue is very strong with all the designers, plus chianti. grey and very little in hot colours ...a few limes from Oska, and a bit of cyclamen here and there.
We are just having a well deserved sip of champagne at the show right now...and going to try and muster a bit more energy before finishing for the day.....all in all a great buying fest!!
More soon!!
(luscious calf leather handbags made in the same
Italian factory as Chanel bags) ...super chunky jewelery....and last but not least fabby silk scarves) The list goes on!
Just two styles arrived today....t shirt dresses, with fairly big net features from thigh to hem. Really beautiful things...and very dramatic a la Rundholz. I am sorry I cannot photograph them until next week as I am away in Germany....but if you need a description, or you would like Louise to post you one to see, call her on 01603 618718.
I'll be back over the weekend blooging about the new A/W styles that I see.
Back soon! xx
We were awoken during the night as our son arrived from Oxford, and the next thing I knew was being awoken again this morning with a nice 'Birthday' cup of tea! So a fairly good start! It was a lovely morning, taken leisurely, followed by a visit to my Mum, and a few jobs out in the town.
All this, and I was thinking how quiet it was on the phone front, especially given the day! Well, it got to about 3 o clock and I took a look at my phone to see the time, and lo and behold, I had accidentally got it set to 'silent' and I had missed loads of calls, and messages!! On the one day on the year when people are calling me, I have my phone on silent!!! How bad is that!!
Well...this afternoon was spent making curtains for number 1 son, and not such fun, but a job that had to be done, and now we are waiting for the time to come to go out to supper.
Last nights supper at Tatlers in Norwich with the girls from Walkers was rather a disappointment. Every one of us was slightly disappointed with our dinner, and mine especially didnt cut the mustard, as my main should have had with it...'thick cut hand fried twice cooked chips cooked in duck fat', and the reality was a handful of frozen chips a la McDonalds....not good!!
So we shall see if tonights efforts are any better! We are trying 'Coasters' in Southwold.
As you may remember, it is this week that we set off to buy for A/W 2010...and this means that any new stock that arrives at Walkers in our absence, will NOT go online until next week, when we return.
We have more Oska which was delivered last week, and this will be online on Tuesday 2nd....and then there will be a week with no new entries.
I am going to be in trouble this week...as we are going for our Christmas Staff supper on the 2nd, to a restaurant called Tatlers, in Norwich, and then on Wednesday, it is my birthday, and with our son Mark, we are going to a nice place in Southwold for a family Supper. This follows by a few meals in Dusseldorf, whilst on our trip...and our evenings are planned around our fave restaurants. So all in all, about 6 evenings out on the trot! Now, those that know me, will know, that I would be better suited to going to a place where no food is served up for a week!! So I'm going to have to try and be VERY good!
Even at the Trade show we are very tempted for food, the Germans do a sausage and saute potato dish which you eat on a cardboard plate with a dollop of mustard. It is really delicious, eaten outside whatever the weather! So you can see....it is not just the clothes buying that we shall enjoy!!
