Just to let you know that communications might be a bit slow over the next day or two as Clive, me and Aldo, and Nimbus the cat, are off for a few days away at our home in South West France. We should be able to answer all e-mails from the blackberrys, so do keep any questions that you might have coming.
Louise, Karen and Clare will be in charge, and they'll be delighted to help you.
Did I tell you, that last week we got our Smart car completely resprayed after the panels were keyed when parked out on the street? Well further to that, I made the mistake of parking out on the street again for 1 hour on Wednesday, and in that time, the car got completely trashed again? Can you imagine....in that short space of time, the same person came back and caused sooo much damage.
Tomorrow we have the photoshoot for the mailer for the Autumn Collections...so hopefully you'll get to see the pictures on the new website very soon.
Keep in touch! and back again soon!
For the first time ever, I received a complaint from a customer, and I am thoroughly shocked. Basically, she ordered a pair of Rundholz trousers, in a size large, and they were not large enough.
And for this, I have been hung dried and quartered....! I am terribly upset, because as all you ladies know, I answer e-mails 16 hours a day, giving out measurements and dress sizes, and on this occasion, I was not asked for any extra information. So I am writing about this situation on my blog, and on my shop notes to say 'Please, if you need exact measurements of anything, do get in touch with me before you place the order'. I am here, at your disposal. I dont mind how many questions you ask me...this is my job.
There is an element of 'gamble' when placing an order by internet...because, you are buying something that you have only seen a photograph of. And even if the goods are a good fit, they still may not suit you, or go with other aspects of your wardrobe. Of course, we refund the full cost of the garment if it is returned, but the postage to and from Walkers is your cost. Just like the car parking and petrol would be if you visited in person.
Occasionally we do make mistakes, last week, I sent out a skirt that was a size smaller than the lady asked for, but as soon as we realised, we fell over backwards to make amends, and get her the correct size and the postage charged back to me. So mistakes can happen...but good communication will solve any issues on size and colour, so please keep those e-questions coming!
Thank you for you patience on todays blog!
