Arent we good? We were in Gorleston and on the beach by 7.30 this morning, and even at that time, the sun was sweltering. Aldo had a lovely run, and then we hopped back in the car to come home for a shower and then to work. A great start to the day.
I think this weather is making trade a bit quiet....and i cant say I blame my ladies for not coming shopping on a lovely day...surely they must have gardens to sit in, or nice places to go.
We will get the new deliveries photographed over the weekend....so new things will at last be online!
As you may remember, we are redesigning our website at the moment, and as a consequence, we still are in discussions with the designer, who is trying to get a 'feel' for us, as a shop, and as people. So today, Becky our daughter, and Elle, the designer came to Norwich from London to see us. It will be very interesting to see the end results, which we guess will be ready during August. We've also had lots of suggestions from customers, so we are trying to satisfy everyones needs.
Gabriella ,our little work experience girl spent her last day with us today, and she really was a fantastic girl. The best youngster we've ever had, as she was such fun, so nicely spoken and intelligent. She bought me a huge bouquet of lilies, which was very much appreciated. I had given her a lot of time, but I had also benefited from her hard work. Hopefully one day she'll be back again to delight us all.
We've just been to watch the sun go down at the local lake, and Aldo has discovered ducks....he loves to chase them, even if it involves getting a bit wet himself.
See you tomorrow! xx
We're really enjoying the sunshine...and today it was my day off. I started off getting a phone call from the hairdresser, to remind me I was 5 minutes late....still sitting in my nightdress when she called, I had to go like the clappers to get there in double quick time.
Being late for her, then meant I was late to take Aldo to the poodle parlour, and his stylist was not best pleased that we were putting her behind schedule!
Then when we had caught up with ourselves, we met my Mum for an afternoon sitting in the sun, at the park. Which was lovely!!
Louise had a lovely busy day, and I was very sorry as I missed some very nice ladies...nevermind!
Well...I'm hoping that all readers are getting their fair share of sunshine!
Back again soon....xxx
As it was such a lovely day yesterday, we thought we would get up early and go to the beach in Gorleston to walk Aldo before we started work. However, things didnt go quite to plan, as firstly there was a nasty accident on the road to Gorleston, which held up the journey, and secondly, the weather was really misty and chilly...so no lovely sunshine.
We didnt have much time, so we walked for a long as possible, before returning back to the shop...for another very busy day.
Tonight we are lucky enough to be going out for dinner at the home of some friends...so we're looking forward to that!
Me and Aldo are off work tomorrow and each are going to the hairdressers..him to the poodle parlour, and me to the regular place! I wander who will get the best cut!
We are very pleased to introduce to you, Gabriella. She is working at Walkers this week...and she is a work experience student from Thorpe House School here in Norwich. What a pretty little thing she is for a start....and when shown all our computer systems and foibles, she took to them like a duck to water!
She is a very clever young lady, and is doing brilliantly at school....so she wont be knocking on my door for a job later in her life as she intends to go into Fashion Journalism. As well as being a 'good thing' she also has a lovely spoken voice....she certainly puts my Norfolk accent to shame! It is lovely to get to know her, and also to realise that as a young thing she has so much ambition and drive for her future. We certainly wish her well.
