Running a shop is not always fun, although in my opinion it mostly is. But today I have had lovely ladies in and out all day...it is sooo nice to see them all...and in some instances, they managed to find themselves some good tiings.
I am awaiting Clive to come to pick me up with the motorhome...and we are off to Southwold...sooo excited! I wont have my laptop with me, as it is broken and being repaired...so there will be no more blogs until Monday evening.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!
Love from Anne, Clive and Aldo xxx
We decided to go to the Library for our supper instead of Wagamama...but it was not a resounding success. The place is, as its name suggests, situated in an old library...which should have been quite nice. But it was large, draughty, and although the prices were quite high (£20 for mains inc veg), there were no table cloths and only flimsy paper napkins. It felt like a burger bar, with nice decor. The food was passable, but not great, and my son, who does not take salt, found everything highly seasoned, and not at all to his liking.
This morning, Clive and I went for a Thursday walk to Gorleston beach, which, although breezy, was really fresh and lovely. Aldo will not be allowed on the sand after today, as dogs are banned for the Summer period...so we made sure he got a good run around!
This weekend, weather permitting, we are off to Southwold, for a last Suffolk treat before we leave for France. Lets hope that we all enjoy some lovely weather.
I know this blog is normally used for general chit chat about my daily life, but I need to get this message across to as many customers as I can. We have been waiting since the end of January for the Tutta delivery, and the manufacturers, have been telling us 'next week' 'next month' and so on, all this time. Yesterday, we were informed that the delivery will not now be coming at all!!!! I am soooo cross...but there seems there is nothing to be done.
So if you were waiting for this delivery to hit the website....many apologies, but it will not happen now.
My son is coming home for 24 hours tomorrow...basically for a dentists visit...but yippee...it means we get to see him for an hour or two. I was hoping to cook him some roast beef....but he says he would like to go out to Wagamama, which is just up the road from here. I think he has gone off my old fashioned style of cooking!!
Next month, both kids are coming out to meet me in France for a few days, whilst Clive is back in the UK....so I get my once yearly chance to be 'Mum' ..how excited am I? They want me to get in, Snails and Oysters....ready for their arrival...which should be easy enough! But I wont be joining them...as I'm not keen on either!
Anyway...time for less day dreaming about the future, and more getting on with todays work!!
Byee...
Have you ever noticed how time drags and flies? I've been looking forward to setting off for our Summer holidays for 6 months now, and it all seemed to drag on really slowly, and now suddenly we are leaving next week, and all hell has been let loose as we have soooo much to get done before we leave! Whilst away, we are having new windows fitted to the flat, and rewiring...so the place will be turned absolutely upside down in our absence! And no doubt will be covered in mess when we return! But hopefully well worth the turmoil.
I am listening today to the news about the breakout of Swine Flu in Mexico....and trying to guage whether it is worthwhile buying my own stock of Tamiflu....just in case....but at £99 a treatment, it seems quite expensive. However the UK Gov, have enough treatment for half the UK population....so will I need it? What do you think? Should we try and protect ourselves? What do you think? Let me know!
