We are so very boring, I know, but as it was Saturday, we headed off after work for the harbour. This time we were meeting some of our motorhome pals, and taking a meal at the Harbour Inn. Very nice.
The weather was absolutely amazing today, and after a hearty breakfast, we set off on our bikes around the town, and also for a walk along the promenade. The sun was so warm, we were simply wearing t-shirts and could cast off our warm pullovers and jackets.
We are leaving to go to Rundholz on Wednesday, so got a bit of a break coming up, which will be a mixture of work and play. We havent had a day off other than Sundays, since the middle of November...(and this includes Xmas day and Boxing day!!), so we are really looking forward to a change of scenery. HOWEVER, I will be working away on my laptop frequently during each day, and all the latest shop news will be added as it happens! I am expecting new deliveries from Tutta Natura, E Frequence, Nook, Oska and Privat Sachen. Plus I will be adding more Barbara Speers, and NUU, so there is still plenty of new stock to come yet.
I watched TV last night and watched the celebs climbing to the summit of Killimanjaro, and was quite impressed by their efforts, especially as the lack of oxygen makes such a lot of impact on your breathing. In fact just the thought of it, makes me feel quite short of breath! And as for climbing up a steep incline with so little air to breath, I would have been the first to break ranks and call it a day. Running up and down the stairs here does me in!
So I will try and get my act together and send off some sort of donation to the cause....although I havent joined in with the red nose or anything like that.
Tonight we are going out to eat with some friends, at one of our local favourite restaurants, called 18, on Bedford Street. So have been trying to starve all day, so I can enjoy my supper tonight!
We've had a busy morning, but this afternoon, Clive and I are off to Lowestoft, to see the accountant....but as soon as we get away from there, we are taking the opportunity to take Aldo for a walk on Lowestofts beautiful sandy beach.
Then we are going to visit my Mum, and have a meal together...so anybody e-mailing me, will get a response later on in the day, sometime after 7pm.
bye for now!
Now and again, when Clive and I are at the supermarket, we treat ourselves to a packet of those thick, soft and chewy cookies that you can buy these days....often with white chocolate chunks in the mix. Well, the other day, we were in Waitrose, rather than Sainsburys, so we thought we would give their version a try....mmmm, very nice, but not as nice as Sainsburys we thought. Then last night, we walked to the city centre Marks and Spencers...and in the interest of good research, we got a packet of theirs.
Well, I really liked them....but Clive still favours the Sainsburys ones! Really, we should not be eating these at all, and have sinned greatly over the last three weeks.! We only have one packet each week, so two each, and our only 'snacky' type purchase. But they are really sickly sweet and lovely!
Any ideas on a/ how to give up cookies, and b/ what your favourite nibbles are?...let me know!
Next week, I am off to Rundholz...as I am going to see what lovely goodies I can get to add to our existing summer collection. In addition to this, I am going to Barbara Speers, as she has got some interesting pieces waiting for me. Lastly, and by popular request, I shall be calling in at NUU, as I missed them off my order for Summer, and ladies have missed the t-shirt collection. These goodies will not be online until the first week of April, as I shall be in France for a few days holiday after I conclude my business in Germany.
I will blog about the goods I choose though, so you'll know what to expect.
