Lincoln...
Sunday 8th March 2009 21:20Well, we had a nice time, albeit this was quite a quick trip, and we didnt get around the historic part of the city centre.
But we did go for a really nice walk across a common, and Aldo had a lovely time....he was quite bemused, as he hasnt really encountered horses before, and there were a good few, just mooching around.
The weather up there was sooo cold, we felt we had returned to Winter, so we hastily beat a retreat home to Norfolk this evening.
As we hadnt eaten all day today, and time was getting late, we decided to try a Kentucky Fried Chicken take away. Well, yuck....we are now dealing with an overdose of grease. We'll have to be a lot more healthy than that for our food tomorrow!
I hope you all enjoyed the weekend...and once more tomorrow, we're all back to work.

Another week has slipped by!
Saturday 7th March 2009 14:11We are having a change from Southwold this weekend, and going instead to Lincoln, to meet some motorhome mates for an evenings get together. So no beach walks on Sunday, unless we drive the extra few miles to Skegness.....which will probably not happen!
For next week, we have been promised that our Tutta Natura Collection will arrive, and this is a dressier look for us. I am really hoping you will all like it.
I'll be out of e-mail contact until Sunday evening, so will reply to any queries as soon as I get home.

The Dentist
Friday 6th March 2009 14:39All my adult life, I have been a private patient at the dentist, and very lucky that my teeth didnt need much attention. However, I would like a little job done now, and decided that I would save money, and go to the NHS dentist literally across the road.
So I popped in there, and thought it was simply a matter of making an appointment! Wrong!!!...first I had to apply to register, and that process would take 9 months, and then once/if I get accepted, I can have an appointment about 6 months after that! So thats great, I'll be there sometime towards the end of 2010.
Well, needless to say, my 'little job' cant wait that long...so I called up my friendly and very hi tech local dentist near to my house in France. He could give me an appointment at my convenience, when I am there soon, and the cost is already quoted as 30Euros for the check up and 40 Euros for a filling. So I'm having to vote with my feet, and am moving my dental requirements to France.
Its a shame really to do this, as I have paid my dues for 30 years, and dont call on the NHS very often. Still, am counting my blessings that I have a back up plan, because some people may still be waiting 18 months for an appointment, or even worse, cant get to see a dentist at all.
